Digital TV
Digital TV is to be the format for all broadcasts in the UK, analogue signals started to be turned off locally in 2006. Digital signals improve picture quality and give you over 30 TV channels and over 20 digital radio channels.
High Definition TV
High Definition TV is a new form of TV broadcasting with a vastly increased picture resolution. Sky started broadcasting in 2006 via a new Sky HD box. Microsoft's X-Box360 and Sony's Playstation 3 produce High Definition images as does Panasonic's Blue Ray Player .
